Sad it is when the children die
just because there is war
sad it is when the parents cry
and just because there is war

I don't think we will ever learn
there is always a war
houses gone and the crops they burn
that's the results of a war

We send money to help the poor
but where does it all go
some high up takes the money for sure
and it will always be so

So much misery and despair
just because there is war
does not matter how much we care
there is always a war

Children die as do soldiers too
fathers and mothers cry
sad it is but what can we do
nothing but let it stand by

Through the ages it's been the same
wars they come and they go
I just wonder who is to blame
wars will go on that I know
