Swing that Leg

So tell me why do you sit there while they are dancing
for now it is time to swing you leg get up and give it a go
for while the others are dancing you might just as well join in
so get up and pick out a girl now and show her how you can go
then maybe while you are dancing and say sweet things in her ear
there may be an understanding and lovely things may appear
 

And maybe you'll walk her home and then you'll start romancing
you'll never know just where it may lead you maybe will fall in love
so if you sat there that evening and just didn't do a thing
and you were not swinging your leg then you'd not found your turtledove
so sitting there when they're dancing it does not lead anywhere
so swing your leg when they're dancing and just get out of that chair
