  Do you remember

The winter was so long and cold
the winds were howling in the trees
but I had you my love to hold
so I did hardly feel the freeze

We sat there by the fireplace
and we were oh so cozy
our future looked so nice and bright
and everything was rosy

So little did we know that time
that nothing lasts forever
and what we thought was so sublime
our destiny would sever

When summer came and winds were warm
our love it seems went cold
and what we felt in that winter storm
we simply could not hold

I won't forget that winter cold
and how we were in love
some day another hand I'll hold
but not your hand my love

I loved you so
